Maid cafes can give Disneyland a run for their money for being the happiest place on Earth, but such sites always hide a dark reality.
Akiba Maid War anime’s latest teaser makes this theory even more believable with its eerie vibes.
The teaser has a monologue by Ranko, one of the main characters, going on in the background as it introduces her coworkers in the cafe.
First, we have Yumechi, the ‘ace maid’ who is the pro at every maid cafe-related work.
Next, we have the cafe’s manager, whose name hasn’t been revealed and who is a troublemaker.
The anime’s dark and mysterious vibe is further confirmed with a key visual that features Nagomi with a distraught look and Ranko with a gun.
