“Sword Art Online the Movie – Progressive – Aria of a Starless Night” will be released in theaters and IMAX in December for fans to further swoon over Kirito and Asuna’s relationship.
Following the Sword Art Online anime series, Aria of a Starless Night tells the story from Asuna’s point of view.
The upcoming film’s first trailer gave a sneak peek into what’s in store and we also get to know Misumi Tozawa.
Misumi is Asuna’s classmate who introduces her to the virtual MMORPG. Going by the name of Mito, she promises to protect Asuna after the game starts killing its players.
The film will be in cinemas across the United States and Canada on December 3 and released in Australia and New Zealand on December 9 of this year.
The official Twitter account for Sword Art Online has also confirmed the release and has given further details about the pre-booking of tickets.
