Tekken has taken over otakus with its various video games. Although it did receive OVAs and a film, it never received an anime, and Netflix is here to set it right.
Netflix’s latest announcement will be music to your ears as it has just revealed a teaser for a Tekken anime series. Tekken: Bloodline will be released in 2022.
It looks like the anime will adapt the plotline of Tekken 3, with Jin Kazama as the protagonist. Jin is the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.
Just as the trailer shows, he has been trained by his mother and has a sweet temperament unless provoked. Of course, his fate is not as sweet, and soon a tragedy will hit him.
The trailer promises a CGI-heavy series, and I hope the adaptation stays true to its source. You can compare it to Netflix’s previous anime like Castlevania etc.
Netflix is sure to reveal the definite release date soon, along with the cast members. Meanwhile, you should brush up on the game to enjoy the anime fully.
